Kebaya Re-imagined
This year's theme, Kebaya Re-imagined, lets designers engage and explore this iconic regional garment - envisioning the future of the kebaya and its place through innovative or sustainable fashion.
Coinciding with the re-opening of the Peranakan Museum, as well as NHB's multinational nomination to inscribe “Kebaya: Knowledge, Skills, Traditions and Practices” on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity in end March 2023, Singapore Stories is of the moment - marrying future fashion with reflection and celebration of this unique cultural heritage.
This year, Singapore Stories 2023 will feature as part of the key programme for the SFC Gala, a celebration with Singapore fashion industry’s business leaders, community, and passionate advocates, in a glamorous evening of glitz, glamour and giving back.
